brnoBrno is the second largest city in Czech Republic and hearth of Moravia.  I used to live here and those 3 years were a wonderful experience, thanks to many lovely people I met in Brno.

The city is located in a beautiful natural environment between South Moravian vineyards and the Moravian Karst.

Brno is a vibrant university city. There are around 89,000 university students within a total 380,000 inhabitants.

Take a tour of the city.

Brno is an active city, with many students and a growing international community, which is very much integrated with the local society. Meet locals!

In the city there is a rich variety of various cultural events, clubs, pubs, etc., and several excellent museums and theatres.

Also there are two interesting things about theatres in Brno, Reduta Theatre is the oldest theatre building in Central Europe, and Mahen Theatre (part of the National Theatre Brno) is the first theatre in the entire Europe which was illuminated by Thomas Edison’s electric light bulbs (in that time, it was only four years old invention).

If you like architecture then Tugendhat Villa is your place! The villa is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Designed by Mies van der Rohe, it is seen to be a classic example of Bauhaus architecture.
